How does this artifact tie in to my question: What Qualities define
an effective leader? When Nasil the main character runs into a few very big problems he decides to make his own choices and lead his own life. Good leadership qualities include making big decisions when you think they are necessary. |
The character in the short story was an eleven year old girl. On her birthday she was in school, this is already turning out to be a pretty awful birthday, when she is blamed for something she didn't do. She tried to say that it wasn't her, but the teacher didn't listen. Being able to get people to listen to you when you speak is a leadership quality, leaders don't get pushed around.

As the author of this narrative I learned how to develop characters and express them using figurative language and narrative techniques.

My response to the short story was all about similes. Writing this helped me grow my talent by learning how to use similes better to make my writing more interesting.
